The final novel we are reading in Book Club this year is Skinnybones by Barbara Park.  We had just finished a mystery adventure by Willo Davis Roberts titled The One Left Behind.  This was one the members decided on purchasing and they really enjoyed the story. Before that we read Maniac Magee , an award winning novel about an orphan, by Jerry Spinelli. 

Grade 3 and 4 Readers Are Leaders Library Club wrapped up their year with a “Pirate Party” and treasure hunt.   One of the other interesting people we talked about were J.K. Rowling and we watched the movie of her first novel, The Philosopher’s Stone.
