On November 8, 2007 the Brentwood Elementary School Senior Choir, led by Mrs. Steeves, performed a Remembrance Day concert for the residents of the Wheatland Lodge. The choir sang "One Candle", "Children Of The World", "Dreams That Children Dream", "We Give You Music", "An African Wish", “Hearts Around The World”, "In Flander's Field" and "Where Have All The Flowers Gone".
The people really seemed to enjoy the music but I think they enjoyed the visiting with us afterward the most. We shared cookies, juice and lots of stories. This visit was just the first of many service projects our school is going to do this year. We want to share our many talents and gifts with the people of Strathmore and area. |
