Mrs. Funk is teaching kindergarten this year on Tuesdays and Thursdays.  She has now taught all the different grades in elementary.  She is married to Wayne who is also a teacher in Strathmore.  Her two children, Caleb and Natalie , are in grades 5 and 2 at Brentwood School. 

Mrs. Funk decided to be a teacher when she was in grade three because her teachers made learning so much fun.  She grew up in Saskatchewan and then moved to Alberta to teach.  Mrs. Funk and her husband also spent two fabulous years teaching in Venezuela at an international school before they had children.

Working part time is fantastic for her and her family.  When Mrs. Funk is not at school she loves reading, travelling, skiing, cheering for her children at their sporting events and spending time with family.
